About Rising Star Home Care Services
Rising Star Home Care Services, based in Baltimore, Maryland, provides quality, compassionate in-home care and companionship for adults and seniors across the Baltimore Metropolitan area. Our leadership team—Dr. Mark Kabue (Director and Administrator), Shem Ngetich, RN (Director of Nursing), and Trina Mello Adams (Director of Marketing and Business Development)—brings together more than 65 years of combined experience in direct patient care, elder care, clinical social work, and healthcare administration.
We were founded with a clear mission:

Our Caregivers
At Rising Star, we believe our caregivers are the heart of our service. Our team includes dedicated nurses, certified nurse aides, and medication technicians who have been carefully screened and thoroughly trained. Each caregiver upholds our commitment to professionalism, compassion, and respect, ensuring the highest level of support for clients and their families. Whenever possible, we thoughtfully match each client with a caregiver who best fits their unique needs and personality.
Services
We understand that every client and family situation is different. That’s why our services are designed to be flexible and customized to your needs. The process begins with a personal consultation and in-home assessment, which allows us to create a plan of care tailored specifically to you or your loved one. Our offerings include:
- Companionship – meaningful social interaction and support
- Personal care services – assistance with daily living activities
- Light household duties – help with chores and routines that maintain a safe, comfortable home
Services may be scheduled by the hour, or arranged for day, evening, weekend, or holiday coverage. Long-term care options are also available to provide consistent, ongoing support.
